I've recently went on the Doctor Joel Fuhrman version of vegetarian diet (Salads, green vegetables, beans, fruits, nuts....no processed foods, small amounts of flax/olive oil) . Never tried this before, so it's kind of an experiment. It makes a lot of sense when you study Fuhrman's book.
Has anyone else recently stopped eating meat and reduced their fat intake, while training fairly seriously? I must admit that I feel better and my running feels easier.
Has anyone else been a long time vegetarian, while running?
I remember reading where many of the top Kenyan runners eat mainly vegetables and very little meat.
