Due to heavy rains last week our Tue and Thurs club workouts were substituted by our coach who thought it a good worthwhie session to do 6 mile tempo over very muddy parkland. This was to get in some practice/prep for racing over these tough conditions. Full concentration needed to stay on course. Thursday evening session was hill reps again over mud . Managed 12 200m tough reps with jog recoveries.
Anyone done this? Tough different but beneficial.
Kit still full of mud but showers were long and warm!
