Is being pushed around and turning the other cheek really different from each other? If they are different, where are the lines drawn between the two?

sorry about the spelling in the title, I meant to say "Turning"
one is what men do when they are being submissive, the other is what women do when they aarbeing submissivee
Turning the other cheek requires maturity and high self esteem. Getting pushed around requires neither.
That's a great question. I hope you get some thoughtful responses (good luck).
this is a great question.
being bitched around means your not strong enough to stick up for yourself.
turning the other cheek means you've already considered the option of fighting back, and are mature enough to know that you are better than that. you are able to laugh off morons who try to start fights. you're above that nonsense.
Maybe one you do when you're thinking about the other (resentment) and the other you do when you're thinking about yourself (pride)? Just tossing around some ideas...
bump
Perhaps when someone calls you out, you ignore when it's some dumb insult (skinny, ugly, bitch) but when it's something thats involves your PERSONAL life, that is when you get involved, and when you don't, you are being bitched around. I am not talking about "your mom" jokes or "I f***ed your mom so hard last night", it's when your mom is dying of cancer and the antagonizer brings it up as a humorus thing, if you don't step in at least verbally, you are being bitched around by this point.
You're running in tights and some kids wonder about your gender...
Turning the other cheek is understanding that they are just kids and that the important thing is that you are warm, you are comfortable, and you don't concern yourself with the opinions of children.
Being bitched around is posting on letrun about the shame of tights.
The line is drawn after the second cheek has been turned! You don't have anymore cheeks!
