No playoff system is perfect, even the NCAA basketball tournament, but there is a reason why every nearly every major sport worldwide relies upon some sort of a playoff to determine its champion.
I would like a 16 team playoff system, with the 16 teams being chosen by a selection committee similar to that for the NCAA basketball tournament.
Failing that, I would like a 12 team system, with the top four teams earning 1st round byes.
Either approach would be at least 6.2 x 10^11 times better than the current piece of crap BCS system. That's another fact.
