Just coming off a 2:47 marathon and I have this key 5 X 1 mile workout coming up that I really want to nail. The marathon was pretty controlled and I recovered quickly. What do you think I can run the workout in with 1:30 rest?

Assuming you're fully recovered (which can be deceptive judging by your phrase "just coming off"), I'd say 5:30 somethings.
the best mile (on the track) repeat workout for marathon training is; run 8x 1 mile with 200 m jog rec for each at 20-40 sec faster per mile than marathon goal pace. You will be drained, but have great confidence.
