You're asking the wrong questions. The goal of your track training plan should be to run fast this track season, not next XC season. The best way to prepare yourself to run well in cross next fall would be to run well on the track this spring.

You haven’t even described the training plan. How do you expect people to tell you if it’s good or not and what to change?
