22 in the lead pack. #41 still leading. I don't see Carrol in the lead pack
Fujita is right behind the pace makers. Takaoka is a bit farther back.
#22 is the course record holder, Fujita. I bet he's got short crew cut. Sunglasses?
What the hell is Colin Fishwick doing there? Is he racing? Last I saw him he was running 25:30 8k's.
short hair, necklace, no glasses today. So many commercials
30:02 10k right on 3 min pace
Is there a link to a website that is given updates? Thanks for the updates zatopek.
Mr. Fishwick now lives with his wife in Susami, Japan, is teaching, and took advantage of the chance of a lifetime.
Nobby, I gave him a signed copy of "Running to the Top," from when Mr. Lydiard came to speak in Boston. So he's poised to do well.
I am getting my info from the TV
Everyone in the lead pack is either Japanese or African
What is Fishwick looking to run?
That's great to hear. Thanks for telling me.
Okay, now I'm in the game--I got the official site for the 5k and 10k. Unfortunately they only show top 10. Easy calculation but the second 5k was 14:58 officially. I don't see Mark Carroll's name in the top 10 but I guess the lead pack is still huge.
There is a giant gap between the lead pack and the 2n pack. I can't see the 2nd pack at all
Hey, Zatopek; by the way, I'm bringing Peter Snell to Japan at the end of March next year. We'll be conducting Lydiard clinics in Osaka, Tokyo and Gunma. We are shooting for Osaka clinic to be over the weekend of 3/21~22. If you'll be around, we can get together.
2:24, but I think would be happy to just improve on his 2:25:53 from last April in Eugene.
That would be great. Is the clinic open to the public?
Zatopek; do you see Aburaya and Sato? They should be wearing bright blue top and shorts. They're about 5'8" with dark hair, brown eyes... Oh, sorry, I'm sure there are 500 of them in the race! ;o)
Sato is #24; Aburaya #23.
Should be. But I'll let you in! ;o)
Mr. Seko the commentator and marothon great said that Takaoka is sweating too much
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
