Paula Radcliffe is set to change her mind about using UK Athletics' warm-weather camps in South Africa for her pre-Olympic training this winter.

After winning the New York Marathon, her first race for two years, earlier this month the world-record holder said she was ready to forsake her normal regime of training alone in the United States in favour of taking advantage of UK Athletics' medical facilities at camps in either Potchefstroom or Dullstroom.

Neither destination, however, appears to match Radcliffe's needs for the most important training sessions of her career.
Since Radcliffe now travels with her daughter, Isla, who was born in January, her requirements of any training location are that much more demanding.
Radcliffe, who yesterday came to London from her home in Monaco for a fitness assessment at the Olympic Medical Institute, said: "I'm not sure I'm going to South Africa now. Potchefstroom is not high enough and a UK Athletics recce in Dullstroom has not come back too positive."
Radcliffe said that Dullstroom, which has running trails at 2,254 metres, had no track and provisions for Isla might be hard to find.
"There was not a lot of baby food and I'm not sure I like the idea of having to take eight weeks' supply of nappies. I take enough rubbish with me as it is.
"I'll discuss things with UK Athletics but I might train again in Albuquerque."
