I have a teammate who went to the doctor and they said that he had a sinus infection. The doc told him he couldn't run until Monday. Can you run with a sinus infection?

No, it makes your legs paralyzed until it clears.
Of course you CAN run but infections in your airways should be cleared ideally before strenuous running at least.
yeah. Just run easy and it might even clear up sooner than if you did not run at all.
I've had one or a lingering one for about 9 months out of a year for the past 6 years...My doctors say it is from my parents smoking so much when I was growing up...who knew...
There was an article in RW a few years ago (one of the few that I have found useful) but the words of wisdom from the medical doctors the author consulted was that a head cold or anything above the neck was okay, but anything in the chest was not. They also recommended a layoff of 72 hours for a sinus infection, since your body is weakened and could be susceptible to pneumonia. When you do start running, try to do it in humid conditions or use saline spray to keep things moist.
My personal experience is similar. I tend to get a sinus infection a couple of times a year - more frequently before I started using Nasonex (which is legal corticosteroid as long as it is used topically or inhaled into the nasal cavity). I generally don't feel like running when the sinus infection is raging, but after taking antibiotics for 48 hours, I ease back into my training and usually do not get a recurrence. The running actually helps me clear things out.
Good luck.
No. Your feet will spontaneously combust, and your hands will shoot off into space.
