would running during the off season to to maintain fitness and hopefully gain strength and put more mileage than before burn me out...I basically want to raise my mileage during the off season so that I improve is this a bad idea, or should i just maintain the mileage i have...I will be taking a week off after peaking currently i am doing about 35 mpw-40mpw. I want to run about 50mpw during the winter, will this burn me out? Or is it more of the intensity i run these runs at that will burn me out? I plan on running something like
M:9 or 75 minutes
T:7 or 65 minutes
W:9 or 75 minutes
T:6 or 55 minutes
F:6 or 55 minutes
S:11 85 minutes? never ran 11 miles before
S:rest
=48 mpw . Sorry for such a long post. Is this a plan for ultimate failure.burning out during the season or can it be succesfull if all the runs are purely aerobic or low-moderate effort?
