Not all quotes are primary sources. A primary source has more to do with the time and authentic-ness of the authors experience than anything else.
You can quote a textbook and the textbook (and the quote) remain a secondary source.

Use these and start listening to your teacher.
Primary means first so unless you interviewed the guy, it would be a secondary source. A copy of the speech may be a primary source, but the quote is going to be no longer than 4 lines, so it's not that impressive. Back it up with journals.
