I've had chronic shin splints for almost a year now. The strange thing is that it is only in my right leg.
The pain seems to originate in a spot about an inch above the site of a stress reaction I suffered a year and a half ago (not sure if this is a coincidence). For the longest time I was convinced it was another stress reaction and so I really limited my miles and took up to three weeks off at a various times.
Finally, I said screw it and now I'm running 70mpw. The pain isn't often noticeable while running but can get really bad at other times. This injury is just really annoying and I'm getting scared it could turn into something worse if I don't take action. Any suggestions?
