I know they've been out for a long time, but I've never tried them. I'm a Wave Rider enthusiast and haven't strayed much from them for the last 5 or so years. Are the 'Novas any good?

they are a great shoe. I am also a pretty big wave rider fan as well if that helps. and my friend loves the wave riders and he switches off between those and the supernova cush.
I rotate btw the supernova and wave rider as well. Only problem i have with supernova is they carve up my achilles on one side.
Do you mean the Supernova Classic?
There are several Supernova shoes.
If you wear the Wave Rider, I assume you're talking about the Supernova Cushion. The cushion is a very squishy, soft shoe, whereas the Rider is much firmer and more responsive.

Both the Wave Rider and Supernova Cushion are great shoes. The Wave Rider has gotten a little more substantial with each update (a little more shoe underfoot), yet it still maintains its light smooth ride. It is also a little wider in the toebox. The Supernova Cushion has become a little more streamlined. The forefoot is extremely flexible and the arch is snug. It tends to fit a little smaller, but it is a great shoe - sort of like what the Pegasus used to be - light and responsive.
The Supernova Cushion is a nice shoe. It is very soft, and does seem to fit me more snug in the forefoot. I have actually developed a somewhat painful callus on one of my big toes from them.
I think that I will probably be going back to the Wave Rider for my next pair.
