no "chee", unless you mean the french pronunciation. there's no "ch" sound in arabic.

Anyone have the actual Arabic form? Transcription from Arabic to English isn't very consistent. Saursoor probably has the beginning correct, since the KH transcription is pretty standard, but the middle syllable could be "NEW" or "NOW" (with a fatha over the nuun followed by a waaw), and for all the end could actually have a jiim and just be mistranscribed. Now my curiousity is piqued.
