If you think that Kipchoge is under 18 you are an idiot. The fact of the matter is that he more than likely in his mid 20's. None of the african juniors even look like juniors anymore. So get real. Still a great race for him but don't make it something its not. It was simply a great race that was won by a great runner but not an 18 year old.

Last two full laps were 60.19 + 57.39 + 26.90 for the last 200 = 2:24.48

that last 400 was definitely in the 54 range

The last lap was at least 53 for Kipchoge. El G hit the 4600 mark in 11:59 mid and Kipchoge wasn't even in the lead at that point. I'd say 52ish last lap for Eliud.

I timed the last two laps in 59.6 and 53.5 for El G

I see what he was trying to say....even though its still technically wrong. The last two full laps are the last two laps. There is no 200 meters after that last two full laps....thats impossible.

And one more thing.....How can the last 300 be 43 if the last 400 was 53.

Last 1000: 2:24.3

Last 800: 1:53.4

Last 400: 53.5 (26.7, 26.8)

100m to 600m to go took 60.19, 600m to 200m to go took 57.39, the last 200m took 26.90. This equals 2:24 for the last 1000m. Therefore there IS a way to get 2:24 from these splits.
