I'm running my 1st half-marathon this Sunday. Yesterday on an easy 3-mile run my right shoe ripped. I've always heard the horror stories about running in new shoes for a long race.
Does anyone think it would be OK to buy a new pair today, run in them tonight. Then just wear them around Friday and Saturday to try and wear them in. Or should I go back to an old paid I ran in last year?
Prolly going to be running the 1/2 in about 1:45ish.
