The earth has always had periods of cooling and heating.
Over thousands and millions of years, there have been ice ages and hot periods.
I remember back in high school (in the 70's) they were talking about a new ice age, because we had a 5-10 year period of colder than average Winters.
Remember, half of North America was once covered in ice. It melted.
Who is to say in 25,000 years it won't be covered again?
Trying to look at today's temperatures based on the last 25 years is like trying to look at the Milky Way Galaxy through a drinking straw.
Will it get hotter? Probably.
Will it stay hotter? Don't know.
Will it cool someday? Probably (don't know).
