Seriously, is he just running on the fact that he's not one of the other candidates?

What is Fred Thompson\'s platform?
Get elected as the president.
Focus on fighting terrorism
Reform Medicare/Social Security
Re-write the tax code
I believe these are three of his main issues he wants to address.
Anti-choice on abortion
Against government support of stem cell research
For Bush's Iraq War policy
Vote for him at your own risk

That's all well and good, but that's not really a platform. How does he plan to do those things?

I haven't seen anything specific, the link below could give some hints.
Fred and I certainly don't see eye to eye on most issues, but I certainly give him credit for walking away from the Senate in disgust.
Thompson is McCain without all the Vietnam stuff but a lazy work ethic.

I thought he walked away to make some serious money as a lobbyist.
He's making serious money as an actor.

Actually he was making some good money by lobbying as well. Being buddy-buddy with the senate appropriations chair sure helped. Outsider in Washington, ha!!!

He made his serious money as a lobbyist BEFORE he was in the Senate, although he did register as one afterward also.
Thompson has no real platform, just the usual least common denominator platitudes.
Thompson is somewhat less offensive the the other GOP sh!t-horns. Excluding Ron Paul, of course.
he could be Rev Falwell risen from the dead and americans dems and repubs would still vote for him solely 'cause he's a TV star.
If he runs on the platform of being the laziest presidential candidate, I will vote for him. The less the president does, the better!
As long he continues to keep quiet, his popularity will stay high. That will be the key to his success as a candidate.
I would gladly pay or elected representatives TWICE as much if they promised to do only HALF as much.
Fred is a Chickenhawk who got a draft deferment rather than fight in Vietnam. He sounds brave now as a trained Hollywood actor. Fred is unfit for the Presidency.
Fred is the ugliest person on the planet, and, yes, he's another chickenhawk. Next.

Yes, he is quite the eyesore, in a Peter Angelos kind of way.
... but I'd be dropping loads on that wife of his, for sure.
