Running fast feels good. Being in good shape feels good. Being pain-free feels good. I could imagine an aging runner wanting to hold on to those good feelings and therefore taking anti-aging/performancing enhancing drugs.
Not necessarily to dupe everyone, but just to keep that young and strong feeling as long as possible.
If I'm one of those guys, what's my ethical responsibility as far as racing goes? Refusing prizes seems to be a given. Is it still OK to race at all? Do I have to publicly proclaim my intentions before every race?
What would be the proper course of action for someone who loves to run and compete, but is experimenting with the anti-aging thing (as they should be allowed to - it's their body)?
