Who is Daniel Kipngetich? Is that Komen's alias? I understand people make mistakes, but writers get paid to write stories. At least get the guy's name right. And when did ESPN start actually caring about Track? Tired of Baseball already?

That's an AP story, not ESPN. Misplaced blame.
they messed up one name. quit bitching.
If he screwed up a Yankee or Red Sox player's name he probably would have been fired. All I am saying is how come the guy or girl that wrote the story didn't dig a little. It's not that hard to find out who broker the WR in the 2 mile.
well it is a track and field story. I bet 5 people notices the mistake.
Well, Kipngetich is Komen's middle name, so someone muffed that a little, but it is understandable. Not like they made something up...
I don't even care very much about this, and I'm more of a track fan than 99.999% of the world population.
There has never been a scale made of dumbness. ESPN would certainly be near the bottom if there were such a scale but they keep on doing what the are doing just because there is no scale of dumbness so they will never be rated. :-(
