What are your thoughts on Rudy Guliani and Ron Paul?

McCain is making a huge mistake by getting into it with Romney. The reason ?

McCain is not very bright, he has money only because of who he married. Whenever he gets into a debate he ends up losing his temper and looking stupid. Romney will make mincemeat out of McCain. Romney will win the Republican nomination and will crush Hillary.

I'm not so sure. If Romney wins the Republican nomination, he's going to have a hard sell to a LOT of Fundamentalist Christians who believe that Mormons are evil to the core. Some of them who have NEVER voted Democrat will watch Hillary or Obama or whomever else walk into what they consider to be an acceptable Christian church, and they'll vote for them over Romney. I know two guys who are Fundamentalists and love Bush and the Republican party but would sooner vote for Satan than Romney.

Must be regional because out west where I live being LDS is no big deal. In fact , LDS in my town is in the top 3 in terms of population. Get used to it, the LDS church is only getting bigger not smaller.

Romney wouldn't even beat Kucinich in a general election, so many flip-flops and of course the Mormonthing...so to demolish this guy.F.Thompson is another flip-flopper, he was pro-choice and pro amnesty for illegal immigrants(till 06!) and now plays the role of the ultraconservative.

But also Giuliani is not a strong candidate for the GE, considering the political, business and private baggage this guy has the Dems only have to air a 10sec spot "www.youtube.com" and win, i mean even his son is not much a fan of him.And if Giuliani gets the nomination the Christian-Right will push and independent candidate who will take votes from the Reps.

McCain is still the republican candidate with the highest chance of winning the GE but it's gonna be very tough for him too after 8 years of GWB and if there is a Gore-Obama ticket what i think will happen considering the recent actvities of the fmr.VP, it will be a very easy win for the Dems.

This is not correct! The Emergency Response Center was located in 7 WTC which was not part of the WTC Complex. There was no connection other than the name and was privately owned. The 6 other buildings were owned and operated by the Port Authority Of NY & NJ and only just months prior to 911 were leased to the owner of 7 WTC. The only reason 7 WTC fell was that it was damaged by falling debris from 1 WTC and a fire broke out which ultimately caused it to collapse later that day.The original Bombing on Feb 26th 1993 was in the basement of the 6 building complex.....no connection to 7!

I don't mean to be argumentative, but the Giuliani decision was a poor one. And his attempts to shift the blame smells just like a Bush tactic, which we are all pretty sick of after 6 years of it.

Republican presidential front-runner Rudy Giuliani — whose campaign is based on his reputation as "America's Mayor," the hero of 9/11 — is famous for a lot of things. Letting bygones be bygones is not one of them.

Thus Giuliani is blaming an old aide turned adversary Jerry Hauer, the city's first director of the Office of Emergency Management, for the much-criticized decision to locate the emergency command center at 7 World Trade Center instead of a site in Brooklyn. After terrorists flew planes into the Twin Towers, 7 WTC burned and collapsed, and the 23rd-floor command center was rendered useless.

"Jerry Hauer recommended that as the prime site and the site that would make the most sense," Giuliani claimed this week on Fox News Sunday. "He recommended that site as the site that would be the best site. It was largely on his recommendation that that site was selected."

Giuliani has nursed a grudge against Hauer ever since the latter defied him and endorsed Democrat Mark Green in the race to succeed him as mayor. "You're done," Giuliani told Hauer ominously on the phone.

"I thought for a number of reasons that Brooklyn was the better location," says Hauer. He provided New York with a copy of his February 1996 memo to First Deputy Mayor Peter Powers recommending the Metro Tech facility in Brooklyn as his preferred site for the command center. "The building is secure and not as visible a target as buildings in Lower Manhattan," the memo says.

Giuliani rejected the suggestion. Another aide, Denny Young, "called me and told me Brooklyn was not going to happen," Hauer recalls. "The mayor was not going to go to Brooklyn. He felt it was better to put it in lower Manhattan, within walking distance of City Hall." Given a directive from the mayor, Hauer supported the World Trade Center site.

"Rudy's getting a lot of heat for the decision," Hauer said. "He's trying to run on his homeland-security and national-security background, and if you start peeling back the skin on the errors he made when he was mayor, you take away a lot of the basis for his candidacy." Hauer added: "I feel sad that he would betray somebody that had served him loyally in the past, and I'm angry, too. But when you get to know Rudy, you know that this is the kind of thing he does. That's just his personality."

Rudi had the 'questionable' good luck to be NYC Mayor at the time of the terrorist atrocities.

I'd wager Romney actually wins the GOP nod. If he goes up against Hillary or, long pause, Obama, he'd win.

The Dems are in the process of punting the mid-and-right-wings of both parties as well as losing the working class American vote with this disgrace of an amnesty bill for illegal aliens.

They could well lose the House in '08.

Giuliani is not a "Republican". He is pro-gun control, which goes against the ideals of real republicans. Nor is he a conservative. He is pro-gay and also pro-abortion. Who would I vote for? Romney or Brownbeck.

Just because Rudy is a cross-dresser doesn't make him gay.

Jerome Hauer. Who IS this guy? How'd he get on TV so fast with the Cheney/Bush "it was terrorists not preplanned explosives" line?

Guliani is a Chickenhawk, he never served in the military, and yet wants to continue to throw away and sacrafice American kids in a lost war in the Middle east.

Ron Paul is just plain weird.

I'm a U.S.M.C. Vietnam veteran. I'm voting the veterans party, the democratic party, Obama for now, but maybe Hill.
