Back in 1992 Pablo Sierra (in his early 20's) from Spain, but living in Oxford, Mississippi, won the Twin Cities Marathon in 2:11, a stunning debut after a mediocre collegiate career.
He follows it up a month later by staying with the lead pack late into the NYC marathon before DNFing.
A year or two later Pablo is banned (or was it suspended) by the Spanish T&F Governing Body for publicly accusing top distance runners in Spain of taking PED's without any evidence or proof.
That was the last I heard of Pablo. Anyone know what became of him?
