What is the main difference between someone who focuses the 1500 and someone who focuses on the 5000? It seems to me most top 5000 runners can run quite well at the 1500 and mile distances, sometimes just as well as at 5000 that's training specifically for the 5000. If someone can run 3:55-3:57 off of 5000m training, wouldn't it be normal to assume they could run 3:52-3:54 with race specific training, or would it not help any?
