I want to get my friend to give me his blood, because I heard it helps with running. We're the same blood type, A-, and I was wondering how to do this without killing myself, as I heard it can be quite dangerous

take a sharp knife and some band aids. slit his wrist and start sucking on it. When you think you had enough call the ambulance and bandage it up till they get there...
Well I guess some people would take this as a joke, but I really don't know where else I could ask anonomously for something like this. I have clean syringes at my disposal, and am just worried about how the process actually works. Basically, a doctor would be great if any of you on here are one. I'm going to do it. I just want to know how to do it safely enough that I don't, lets say, get air in the syringe and kill myself. Also, how much blood is reccomended and how long before a race?
Use your own blood if your going to do it. There is A LOT of issues with using someone elses, such as disease etc. Talk to a professional first. It needs to be stored, cooled and injected PROPERLY or you seriosuly risk some major health effects. It could be as simple as injecting a few air bubbles in with the blood and wham...you have have an anurysm (sp?) and are dead in half an hour.
I believe blood doping should be legal. You're using your own blood to make improvements, on the other hand injecting iron, something you need but dont obiovusly have enough of is considered legal....go figure.
Fooling around with injecting someone elses blood is a great way to get yourself f'ed up pretty quickly. Have you thought about just training more...or is that just a little too hard?
congratulations; you and your friend (and me), have one of the rarer blood types RH negative, (A -). I found that out when I got the blood test for getting married. Only 8% in the U.S. have our type. Besides that, what you are clumsily talking about is 'blood boosting', which became infamous in the 70's as a way to boost the red blood count and oxygen uptake in distance runners. Lasse Viren among other was accused of it. It is where you take your own blood out and reinject it at a later time, which is supposed to help with your endurance and delay the onset of lactic acid (tying up at the end). Hmmm; is that why Lasse Viren flowed easily to the finish line in the '72 and '76 Olympics while others, faster than him were tying up and fading? Who knows.
What kind of physician is best, and where can I store it, right next to my ellios in the freezer??
?
You're an idiot.
Just be careful to stay out of the sunlight and stay away from garlic and guys with wooden stakes. I think that's about it.
we got a bleeder... wrote:

Are ya sure you don't mean embolism?
To the OP: messing around with your blood when you have apparently NO idea what you're doing (you're asking on here, for goodness sakes) is probably not a good idea.
