I'm not a fan of the dirt trail at the beginning. First year was dry loose sand, second year was dodging puddles
Right amount of hills good for training/prep for a fall marathon - not too easy, not too hard - if your are looking for small low key event.
Last year it was unusually humid and pouring rain all morning so turnout was lower but not by much. Still expect only about half dozen runners under 1:20
I placed 5th and ran last 3/4 completely by myself.
Also there were no age group prizes as advertised, only cash for the top 3
The New Haven CT 20k National Championship is the same day. That’s where the real competition will be.
