we will find out soon enough if there is violence but I doubt the hansay pulling out will change that, she would be too far back in the pack.

I spent a month in Kenya years ago. Even spent a few days in Mombassa. The first thing I noticed when I got off the train from Nairobi was the heat and humidity. What a shock to the system! Why would they have the cross country championships there anyways? I can't imagine being able to perform at your best in those conditions.
Hey isn't this the part where we ban her from future competitions and take away money because she had the nerve to qualify for nationals and not go?
"qualify for worlds"
i went to Kenya for a month when i was 16, not one problem.

Yeah, there are more dangerous places in the US -- so? You don't see any world championships in Camden, New Jersey either.
There are many places in Atlanta I don't want to be in during the night, heck, even the day. They had the 1996 Olympics there, go figure. They are also having the next World Cup in South Africa.
That's not funny asshole.
I'd been waiting for someone to use that line.
Is Hasay the only one to pull out of Worlds? Are Aislinn Ryan, Aurora Scott, Bona Jones, and Kari Hardt still going? What about the elite men/women and junior boys?
well it's probably about as safe as London (or less)
WAY less safe than kingston (world juniors)

I spent some time in Boston a while back. The first thing I noticed was the cold. What a shock to the system! Why would they have World Cross there anyway? I can't imagine being able to perform at your best in those conditions. Well, actually, I won the race anyway.
Too bad your still an idiot even if you did win. By the way, ever notice why they start marathons early in the morning. Probably not.

Get over yourself. Running a race in the heat isn't the end of the world. I'm writing this from Canada, for God's sake.
Most of the world, and certainly those that are actually in contention at WXC, is more put off by snow than by humidity.
You had the sarcastic ahole response, so get over yourself... Weather forecast for Mombasa today has a low temp of 76 degrees and 89% humidity. Anyone coming from a winter climate, and especially after travelling 5,000 miles to get there, might have difficulty in those conditions. My original post concerned the fact that I had been in the cool of Nairobi (about 5,000 ft. elevation) and was then trying to get accustomed to Mombasa's weather which I personally found difficult.
