(Just thought I'd give him his props, what with all the Webb/Mottram threads)

And Mottram is the best British 5000m runner?
Brittish?
Lagat is an American and has been for over 2 years. He's certainly the greatest Kenyan born 1500/miler ever. I am a big fan of his and had the opportunity to talk with him briefly a few years ago. I'm a bit iffy on him getting ARs, but I do like the idea of him wearing the red, white and blue and competing for the US.
yes... irony escapes me... hehe
Ummm...Ngeny?
ngeny's career was way too short lived
Mottram is British isn't he? It would be hard to say Lagat is not a Kenyan anymore regardless of his citizenship.
Mightn't a small case be made for Kip Keino?
Mottram is Australian
British too. He was born a british citizen, since they are part of the commonwealth. Or something like that...

Not me, I see him as an avaricious drug cheat. Sort of like Beckham with a tan and epo.

It wasn't irony.
Why does no one on the planet understand what irony means?
Do you even know how drug testing works? An "A" positive simply means that something is amiss in the sample at which point the B sample is carefully analyzed. Do you know how much more time/money is would take to carefully go through every "A" sample? Lagat's "A" positive did not say "yes, there is synthetic EPO here"; it said that there was something unusual, which was due to the fact that the sample had been improperly stored.
It's as if brains just shut off at some point.
