And by ghetto you are saying a poor BLACK neighberhood. Feel lucky that you are most likely caucasion and do not have to live there.
When I always believed racism was getting better in America,I didnt even know how it existed in modern life, but its only sugar coding where everything looks fine on the outside. Its an attitude and culture of not only black people but every race and culture in the U.S. Face the facts- the white man has the power and racism may have appeared to leave everyday life ESPECIALLY in the eyes of WHITE people, but the fact is that it still runs rampid in more sublte forms enforced by "the man".
Is this type of violent behavior becoming more common with black youth? Is it just California? What are the causes of this behavior? Is it inherent poverty? The media? Materialistic and violent music? Is it because of "The man"? - I think so
At a High School in my area 15 black teenagers almost beat ONE white teenager to death after he refused to give them his wallet.
Two friends who used to live down the street from me get jumped by a group of black teenagers for no reason.
(I witnessed this event) - A large group of black teenagers about 8-12 people are standing outside a restauruant. They are feeling hard because they outnumber three asians who are seriously minding their own businness walking into the restaurant. A few people in the group of black teenagers are literally staring at this asian kid who is minding his own businness and when he glances up one of the black teenagers says "wt. . are you looking at".
The asian kid responds, "wt. . are you looking at?". The asian kid gets sucker punched out of nowhere and him and his two friends go on to recieve what I am sure was the worst beating of their life. The kicker is the 2 security guards that showed up and watched either to scared to do something or too dumb to notice the severity of the situation. And all of the people (primarily teenagers) of EVERY RACE standing around excited to see a fight/beating taking place.

And I mean more shallow and superficial than in previous generations. I know a lot of young people use this board so I'm interested in some feedback."
My response is that I believe they are incredibly more shallow. But how would I know Im only 20. With so many advertisements and media outlets influencing the youth how could they not be materialistic and shallow. Dont take my word for it go read any book examining the effects of advertising on children. Probably one of the best examples is the food industry.
I hate a culture where this type of violent behavior is cool, and I hate the causes even more. sorry for my lengthy post. i dont even know if what im saying makes sense.
