We all know that our metabolism tends to slow as we age.
What deos this mean (if anything) for glycogen burn.
If I'm equally fit at age 20 and age 35:
Will I burn less glycogen during a 2:20 marathon at age 35 then I dd at age 20 because my metabolism has slowed?
Does this have anything to do with the ability of athletes to be succesful in the marathon into their late 30's long past the peaks in other events.
