I am developing a bit of pain under my left arch. No so bad that it stops me from running, but it's concerning. Could it be plantar fasciaitis? Any suggestions on what to do to nip it in the bud?
Thanks.

All of the P. F. stories I've heard (and my own)usually begin under the outside of the heel. When you wake up in the morning, the first step feels like you've stepped on a tack. It gets gradually better as you walk around during the day, but will return with any amount of inactivity. Don't know of it beginning in the arch area. /Drew
I have found that it is a pain on the inside of your arch near your heal area. If you feel it coming on you can nip it in the bud. I got it REALLY bad on my left foot (the was my first PF experience). After a long recovery I started feeling it on my right foot but have been able to hold it off due to my experience with it.
It is pretty much the same stuff you have probably read on here but I will tell you again.
Massive stretching of not only your calf muscles but also crank back the ball of your foot back and stretch your fascia. Put your foot against the wall and hold it there for a while or do it with your hands. Do this 3-4 times a day. before and after running and throughout the day. I feel this is the #1 thing to do.
#2 Freeze a water bottle and roll your foot back and forth.
THats it for nipping it in the bud! THere are other things you do when you get it bad but this should really help
Good luck
Plantar Fasciitis.
I have recently got over this injury.....knock on wood... but the best way to get over it is to ice, ice, and ice and it really helped out a lot. I don't know if I just didn't have a bad case of it or not, but it went away in about 3 days by doing this.
