Ian Brooks' race commentary is annoying as shit. get him outta there.
and the armory is absolutely ridiculous about results -- they are incredibly slow with results, and often nothing other than the top six gets released. that's just awful.

Personally, I think it's pretty intelligent what Webb and Raczko are trying to do here. Webb's getting into a lot of good competitive meets, 5 months before the USA trials, and about 6 months before WC. He missed out on a lot of racing experience last year, so he's trying to make up for that. It had been evident before that he lacked some good tactical racing skills, and now they're trying to get him to learn those. Certainly racing against guys like Mottram and Lagat will help him. I don't think it's very unhealthy for him to do it either. Hopefully Webb makes sure to get in a good break though after his next few meets. It'll be interesting to see how 2007 plays out. Let's sit back and watch.
Webb's performance was very impressive, considering all that he has been through the last year, and the pacer going through the half in 1:58.
He'll need a little bit more to take on lagat though. Especially at millrose, where he was lagat's bitch 2 years ago in the mile

I'm just extremely curious on their exact plan. I've always been a fan of XC and over-distance racing, especially for Webb. Sure he lost most of his outdoor season last year, but I'd like to see him do most of the same, while adjusting accordingly to avoid the downtime. I'm hoping that at least he's continuing to improve his strength.
