This is a fair point and worth looking into due to his past experience with injuries. However, having run with him, I don't believe it to be true. He definitely trains hard. But he also trains smart.

This point is unreasonable. He is a former All American who competed in the toughest XC conference in the country (Big East). He ran against the best and beat most of them. To say he ran away from scrubs and never beat anyone good is incorrect. Come the fall of 2003, you'll see how good this guy can be.
