He better not get arrested - I bought tickets to a Giants game with the hope of bringing a "You'll never get the record or the Hall of Fame" sign
Yes ... I hate the man.
I wonder if anything will come of this? That would be absolutely insane, if somehow 100 names of baseball players who tested positive, was leaked to the public. I have to imagine the impact of that would be absolutely devastating for the mlb.

MLB will survive just fine now that the truth is out. Hopefully the idiot Bud Selig will be dragged down with this too. If Selig is implicated in a cover up and had to step down, it would be the best thing to happen to baseball in years.
supposedly, a partial list is already floating around.

all MLB will have to say is that there was a problem but they've solved it via their oh so stringent testing regimen.
I didn't read the attached article, but why would any further revelations about drug use in MLB have any effect on its popularity? Heck, drugs have SAVED baseball. If McGuire and Sosa hadn't been out there bombing away, baseball may have never recovered from the strike backlash. Drugs have given the fans what they want - a bunch of giant freaks hitting the ball out of the park. If anyone should be doing something about the "problem" it is not the league (laughing all the way to the bank), but the players' union out of concern for the long term health of its members. I have zero expectation that the stupid fans of baseball will demand a clean-up of the sport because, as I say, they are loving the freak show. I find it so ironic that pseudo-intellectuals (i.e. George Will) love to pontificate about the "intricacies" of the game while condemning football (highly complex) as a pursuit for meatheads.
because whatever way the media casts this on the general population is how it will be perceived. ie: they make a huge deal out of these cheats and denounce it, everyone will be like yeah we hate people who do drugs blah blah blah but if they say its a big step in moving past this people will be all like yeah woo hoo we feel good about this.
where can we see this mythical "partial list of names" ??
i've been wondering the same thing. the guy in the article said he'd seen it but didn't reveal it. i would imagine the partial list he's talking about is the 8 out of the 10 players named in BALCO who tested positive in these 2003 tests.
