If one has had their lactate threshold tested before and the tester used heartrate during the test.....
Will the heartrate at lactate threshold ever change?
For example: I have been tested on a treadmill and my results were: 4:53 with a heartrate average of 182+ (the test was based off of around 4mmol)
Would the 182+ be the same over the course of years and would it be a good reference for determining if I am running at my exact threshold pace?
jtupper...should I maintain this effort for only 20-25 mins. continuous or shorter segments with 1-2 min recovery? maybe I could email you (jtupper)with specific questions? LT/tempo training has always been a little confusing....the term is used sooo broadly. I want to know exactly what pace/amount of time is the most beneficial (as well as how often).
Basically I'm tired of messing around not knowing exactly what pace I should be running on certain runs and want to know if the scientific/specific approach is the right way to go.
Thankyou...I appreciate all educated responses.
