Anyone know of a greenway, some trails, or a good road route I could follow in Southaven or Olive Branch, MS?
Thanks!

try posting on the message board at www.tnrunning.com. Some of the memphis regulars post there.
here's the only one i know of in the area....
Arkabutla Lake
Just south of Memphis, off I-55 and Scenic Loop 304.
Coldwater, MS
3-mile and 5-mile loops of wide single track on a well-marked course. Not too technical, not many hills. Just a couple of gentle rises and a couple of short, steep bumps in the road. This trail never gets overgrown and bugs are not overly annoying.
Free, open daily from dawn to dusk
Trail head: Across the little wooden bridge at the far end of the picnic area.
Directions:
From Memphis: Head south on I-55.
Go to the second Hernando exit (not the North Hernando-Nesbit exit), turn right.
Pass the courthouse and continue west on 304.
Go ~10 miles until you reach the big intersection at Eudora (strip mall/gas station on the left),turn left.
Follow this road until it dead ends, turn left.
Park entrance is about 1/2 mile down this road.
Continue on until this road ends, turn right.
Follow road around toward the spillway.
Just before you get to the spillway, turn right.
Park in the picnic area at the end of this road.
you should drive down to Oxford, MS..lots of trails there
I ran at South Panola High School (Batesville) back in the late 90's and ran mostly on the hilly, dirt roads in the country. Now, with the booming population growth of North Mississippi, all of the dirt roads are now filled with condo's and are paved.
I now drive to Oxford when I'm in town and hit the trails over there. It's a bit of a drive for you, but it's worth it. You should definitely take a trip over there on the weekend.
As for Olive Branch...I'm not sure of the name of that park, but I ran a track meet there once. It's a medium-sized park not far off of I-55 that has a track right in the middle. Now, this was 10 years ago that I ran there, so it may be all gone too (N. Miss is growing that fast!!) but ask around. It's a small park with good grassy loops that'll give your legs a break.
If you're from Southhaven or Olive Branch I truly wish you all the best in your running. Take it personal, win states, and put Mississippi's distance running on the map!!!!
