Best thread: WIJU's Chicago Marathon thread. Great detective work. I counted it as one of the novels I read for the year.
Funniest poster: The poster who responded to the guy who had a bowel movement in his pants while running with three attractive girls, i.e: "You're a two time loser. First you crapped in your pants. Second, you run with girls"
I think we had some excellent threads around the World Cup. It was funny to see the Team USA fans go from delusional ("we're top 5 in the world") to humble ("we put up a good fight") to angry ("Bruce Arena is an incompetent fool") and back to delusional ("nobody cares about soccer"). Meanwhile the Englishmen had a hard time disguising their cockiness until they woke up one day and realized they were all rooting for Germany.
are u guys forgetting the BIGFOOT thread???? 430miler will win poster of the year from here on out because I don't think he is going anywhere anytime soon.

On the thread on whether anyone has had sex with their coach, "powerbar"(?) answered "yes but I coach myself".
I don't know if it was this year, but the getting DQed for wearing a fannypack was funny.
So was all the training advice for some father's kid.

I like the thread about when the parent locked his kid in his room and wouldnt let him leave untill he apolagised just because he had a fight with his next door neighboor, but yep the bigfoot thread was definately up there.

I think the engagement ring/salary thread is having a late-year rally to be one of the best threads of the year.
The best was a tie: henry rono's comeback journal and nobby's Lydiard posts.
Funniest: that guy - Just run, baby - and the angry responses he got from one poster...I searched the archives but couldn't find it - Gonzo???
Saddest: the posts relating to the Losses of Arthur Lydiard and Jack Foster.
Worst: Innumberable racist, sexist, spam and just plain
d-u-m, too many to count sadly.
I thought the"How fast can I run 5k" threads were the best.
All 500 of them.
We should also have a "WORST" list in addition to the "BEST" list. How about for the worst list all the poster who come on here and crap all over their coach, or posters who come on a crap all over college coaches. Certainly would lead someone to believe our sport(s) are rife with fools who only tear each other down.
Best list would be discussions on training, and getting good information about different methods of training.
