De'sean Turner - Warren Central, IN - Second footlocker returner and 4:08 1600 runner as a junior, Indiana XC State Champ.
Andy Weatherford - Greencastle, IN - 4:08 1600 runner as a junior, Indiana 1600m State Champ.
Cole Hardacre - Pendalton Heights, IN - 9:16 3200 as a junior, 3rd place 3200m. 3rd Place 2006 State Cross Country.
3 of the best guys from Indiana and one of them is one of them best guys in the nation. Hopefully they turn around there terrible team.
You're shortchanging the resumes of Weatherford and Hardacre a bit:
1. Weatherford is not only the defending State 1600 Champ (with Turner just .007 behind), he is the two-time defending State 1600 Champ as he also won as a sophomore in 4:13.42. He'll go for title #3 next spring.
2. Hardacre also still holds the Indiana HS State Freshman Class Record in the 3200M with a time of 9:19.85.
Now which one of these posts is by the Indiana coach?
When did he turn Jerry Schumacher down? Maybe when he offered him a 33% scholarship.
I'm definatly not the Indiana coach. I think they actually have a terrible team for the school size, being in the big ten, and how knowledgable Chapman is.
Here we go again. It seems like four years ago, we were hearing about how IU was going to put together an NCAA juggernaut. Is this the 2006 version of the Chapman Dynasty?

I didn't get to see it. How did they look?
Shot over 50%, 83 to 46 I think. That Juco transfer looks to be a starter. Lance Stemler...big 'ol white dude. He'll start instead of Ben Allen, moving White down low. Even better...Armon Bassett is a hell of a point guard...10 assists and 2 turnovers for the freshman..:)

Calloway started against Indy...Sampson's going to have to decide who's going to start at point. Granted it was only one game...but 10 assists and 2 turnovers from Bassett can't be ignored. Time will tell.

You can't be a Hoosier fan unless you graduated from IU?
Interestingly enough a degree from IUS is actually an IU degree. More interesting...I graduated from UofL.

IU could be real good in a few years. These 3 recruits plus Jordan Kyle (3rd at regionals today) is only a redshirt freshman. True Sophmore Tim Mcleod (20th at regionals) and redshirt Sohmore Mark Fruin (33rd at regionals). If any of these recruits can step up, in 3 years this team could compete for NCAA's

Even more interesting than that, I'm a hoosier fan but I graduated from (gulp) Purdue. Although, the rivalry has lost some of its intensity since Knight and Keady left.
