Ouch, what happened to Millon Wolde and Marius Bakken? Bekele and Kipketer were impressive. what if we could get a Geb/Cherono/El G/Bekele/Kipketer 5000. Oh man, that would be the greatest 12 minutes and 36 seconds of my life.

That is one deep field. Top 3 in 12:52 damn. Bekele continues to impress, but I was surprised by Chebeii and Chenonge though, they really turned it up. I always thought Chebeii was a slow race, big kick type of guy, hes showing that he can really run. Sammy keeps on improving too. I don't think the Ethiopains are a lock for gold in the 10k or the 5k, although I'd be surprised if they don't take the 10. Does anyone know if they've decided on their team yet in Kenya?

Kipchoge is the most impressive there I think - still a junior, won the World Junior XC this year

Kipchoge was very impressive indeed. Reckon he's a touch disappointed. He went too early. 50m later and he may have won the race. Kenny battled hard and deserved the win after leading from about 3k. Gutsy son of a bitch. He may be the heir to the thone but he doesn't have Geb ability to kill off the opposition in the last 200m. Remember his last 200 in '93 - faster than Kipketers in the 800m that day! Kenny doesn't have that. My moneys on Geb in Paris. He'll peak in time.

I agree that Kipchoge's performance was very impressive. However, forget this shit about 'junior'. No way this guy is a junior - he's about 25 or 26. But anyway, it's a great performance. Also Bekele isn't as young as his passport.
