Running a marathon in a month. Hopefully right around 3 hours. Was wondering is it really necessary to use gels during the marathon. My longest run so far has been 22 miles fairly comfortable (I've also done a 15 mile MP run within a 20 miles run)
All I really use is a FuelBelt with 42oz of gatorade in the 6 bottles I have. I don't believe I've ever hit the "wall", I'm sure I would have known if I had.
Just wondering if I should try them out for my 22+ miler this weekend.
