Dude seriously, I think drinking beer has helped me. Its a good way to indicate your fitness. I love guzzlin brewskies wakin up at 5am and bustin out a long run at a suicide pace. 12 miles in just over 70min. yea boy! I ran my 8k PR a couple days after that, 24:11 baby!
