Only 3? That's not a high success rate. Here's hoping Cooper makes it 4.
This kid has biblical middle distance talent. to run 1:42 off 3:45 type 1500m strength is unbelievable. Even Brazier, considered a pure speed type, ran 3:37 when he was in 1:42 shape back in 2019. Imagine if Cooper gets 8 seconds fitter for his over-distance event. can't wait to see what he does in his career.
Do less than 50% chance at gold
He's also the only non-African on your list of the 10 youngest. And we all know how they mess with their real ages.

I’m just glad Bol wasn’t next to Cooper in the last 150 meters - he might tripped / hurt Cooper and there goes the age records and more. The way Bol was shoving and elbowing Moula around the final turn was awful and then the way he shoved Moula at the line (acting like it was an accident and feigning loss of balance) was terrible. Someone else brought this up in the meet thread but it deserves more attention. It was blatant and Bol should have been DQd.
BTW: the analysis on Cooper estimated time as a result of running an extra 6.4m is wrong
You need to look at the speed in the last 6m of the race (not avg). He was running approx 25km/h in that last 6 meters. So 0.92 for 6.4m. His total time was thus 1:41.78 for the first 800m of the race.
