This is how you know you're too into running and need to diversity your life
Like I said, not just for running. I only have so many years where I am so young and free. I want to travel somewhere unique and less touristy, off the beaten path and really get a feel for the world.
Just when you think the world has forgotten about the Robertson brothers and is beginning to heal, it throws you a curveball and reincarnates the scenario all over again. Cruel.
Kenya is awesome.Go for it.There is a lot more to experience other than running. The culture is rich and diverse. The weather is awesome (not too cold yet not too hot). The food is brilliant (lots of variety of fruit and vegetables available cheaply ). English is widely spoken. The society is well exposed, highly educated and civilised. The country is picturesque. There is so much to see i.e wildlife, the geography, etc, you are spoilt for choice really. You will settle down quite easily. While there just avoid the negativity of this forum and enjoy your stay.
I have been to Kenya twice. I trained in Iten for a month or so on one of my trips. It was one of the best experiences of my life. Singore forest was amazing and the roads and countryside were beautiful. If you are looking for a great running adventure, it would certainly hit the mark. You could probably stay for two weeks and experience enough.
