She has that Hedengren height almost, she’s should be a big factor in college. Hope she gets that very rare hs sub 4:30. I think breaking 4:35 in itself is very impressive.

Yup. I just saw her run it live here at Santiago High school in Corona, CA in a dual meet vs Corona Centennial High. Paced by a freshman Jackson Horvath who has a 9:17 2 mile PR. PoMan productions and HDRunners was here filming so you can probably find it on their Youtube channels in a bit.

Although that's insanely good, especially since she's more of a 800-1500 runner (I guess her range is better now), Doing that at a dual meet makes 0 sense. Second place was 12:07. And she ran 72-75 and a 66 last 400. 9:30s potential

After the race Braelyn joked that she's also going to do a 5k.
With this time, she would have won the varsity boys 3200 by 3 seconds
There wasn't a varsity boys race because they paced Braelyn instead of running their own race. They let her go ahead of them at the end of the race so that she could cross the finish line first.
Great run, but being paced to a time by boys who let you win is different than racing. Still impressive. Chiara, Ellery and others have gotten great times with boy pacers this year.

She ran it in a dual meet because she isn't planning to run the 3200 at the state meet or in any of the national meets. So this was her best chance to run an all out 3200.
2:04 and 9:44.. you would think she could go under 4:30 in a paced race this year...
Probably not at the state meet because she may want to save some energy for the 4x800. But at a national meet like Brooks PR or HOKA she can probably break 4:30.

Also presumably because it's easier to have a male pacer. She also seems to be very team oriented so a big performance with her teammates at her home track as a senior probably means more
