I don't think we need to go into drugs. Doris is about at the level that Courtney Frerichs got to, and I don't see Frerichs as some surefire drug user. To represent Kenya as she has, she is subject to far more testing than NCAA athletes (at least 3 no-notice drug tests in the 10 months before Tokyo).

Jane has shown more talent at younger age than either Frerichs/Lemngole. Lemngole ran 14:40 in a road 5K at 21. Throw in probably road shoes and drafting that you're unlikely to get in a track race and I think Jane already bested this with her 14:44 at BU at age 19 where she hammered much of it from the front. Her training volume is also modest from what we've seen (50-60mpw).

So comparing Doris who is basically in the prime of her development and training at a very high level to Jane who is just working towards that is kinda dumb. If Jane develops as she can, she should be closing the gap pretty quickly from here and be a more promising pro at the 5/10 where Doris hones in on the Steeple. It's an uphill battle for her to make teams at the 5,000 and 10,000 for Kenya.

Remember when you said that Tuohy was unbeatable? She is now slower than dozens of college girls. Hiw do you know that Jane won't surpass Doris in the near future? You were so off in the past.
