From my observations, the new Inspire is a better fitting shoe for most feet. It seems to accomodate a broader range of feet, while the original seemed to fit low volume/narrow feet better. The newer version also seems to be a little smoother, while the original seemed to have more under the foot in the back half and then feel fairly thin in the front half. I think the new version is more balanced. Mizuno shoes in general, and particularly the Inspire, seem to be more flexible than many other brands. For example, the Inspire should be compared to the Asics 2110, the Saucony Grid Omni, and the Brooks Adrenaline. I think the Inspire will feel lighter, less rigid and smoother than all of these. On the other hand, some may prefer feeling "more shoe". I wouldn't be as concerned about shoes being "stability" or "neutral" - if the shoe feels good and allows you to run comfortably with a reasonable degree of pronation (pronation shouldn't be totally eliminated), then they should work well. Sorry for such a long answer.
