This is really impressive. Men's Health article says he is currently 250 lbs. I was 235 lbs when I first started running at 6'2, with a similar build to him, and I could not fathom running a 3:07 at that weight.
Breaking News: Professional Athlete is good at athletic endeavors.
NFL guys are super fit. Some of them look 'big' but it's mostly muscle weight. I recall seeing a documentary on either Umich or Mich State football team. Their training is at insane level.
He's also one of those insufferable washed-ups that is handed bibs for majors without running a step.
Impressive? Yes. But I also had to run around Matt James wearing a Lorax suit (Bachelor 'star') in Chicago since he was allowed to start in the A Corral with me.

Let these losers get in on their own accord
Even if your core point is reasonable enough, you may want to consider who actually comes across as insufferable in that post.
Zdeno Chara, who's like 6'9" ~250lbs and in his 40s is a regular participant at road races around New England, not even as a special guest or anything. Guy just runs them. His 5k is <20 and marathon time is in the 3:10-3:20 range within the last couple years.

on the discrepancy between last game and retirement, NFL doesn't officially retire you until a year after your last deal ends. so rochell gets cut november '23, maybe deal stops right then or maybe runs through end of playoffs, your year runs november '24 or february '25. he announces his retirement february '25.
i assume part of that is trying to deal with the philip rivers factor, players coming back out of retirement. the hurt players trying to rehab back into the league but can't get it done. the marginal guys bouncing from here to XFL to canada to NFL training camp body. it's a brutal sport, average career 3.3 years.

and he played 24 years in the NHL and is 48 years old.
PS. While the aticle says he retired this year, which is true, the last game he played in the NFL was 2023 I believe.
I think he is going to land an Olympic Trials Qualifier. This guy is a 2:16 potential. It would be cool to see him in the 2028 Olympics rocking a XXXL USA Race Kit!!!!
