All of my clothing lives in 4 laundry bins on the floor of my basement. every day i go down and rifle through the bins to find a suitable outfit, throw all of it in the dryer for 5 mins and put it on. I haven't folded or hung an article of clothing in 5 years. Is this weird?

Do you ever wash them or just 5-min-dry them?
I wash them and throw them back into the laundry bins. The 5 minute dryer just de-wrinkles them and freshens them up a bit. They are clean though.
It is pretty weird. And lazy. I assume you haven't had a girl over in this whole 5 years. The minutes you spend "rifling through bins" and drying clothes for 5 minutes would probably be all it takes each week to put your clothes in drawers and on hangers.
youre not alone. all of my clothes live in a big heap hidden behind a closet door. the dirty clothes get set off to the side because they may get used again. i work a labor job so the functionality of the clothing is more important than the condition. i dont put clothes in a dryer beforehand. and for the record, i am 40, doing well financially, and have a family.
I wouldn’t call it “normal” but it is definitely something that I, and many others, can relate to. Pretty often, I’ll do my laundry and just let it lay on my bed for a week until I finally fold it and put it away. I’ll sift through my “bed pile” to find a good outfit.
It’s definitely unorthodox, but hey, if it works for you, I ain’t one to judge! 🙂 And at least you keep everything in bins so they’re not just laying all over the room lol.

My wife and I do the same thing! About once or twice a year she will reach a tipping point and we spend all day folding and putting away clothes and throwing out some we never wear but sure enough we find ourselves back in the same boat a month or so later...I personally like it because I dont have to go through drawers to find all my clothing, its a one shop stop!
