Anyone at the annual meeting able to give an update?
Anyone at the annual meeting able to give an update?
If USATF is update, then consider me Miles Davis!
Sounds like you're having a bad experience here. I think you would have a better experience on the Reddit track and field forum. The people there are much nicer. They are all like Hardloper and Skuj.
I remember a quote my parents taught me: "Don't stay in a place where you're not appreciated." Life is too short and precious to waste it in places where we are not appreciated. It is much better to go to places where others appreciate our presence and our contributions.
I'm going to leave here and go to Reddit. I hope to see you there.

Good advice. I left LRC 10 years ago and never came back.
Not sure what this has to do with USAT&F, but you shouldn't bother about words on a computer from an anonymous person.

I am only attending virtually. It is a hybrid meeting, and a slimmed down schedule.
What do you want to know?
LDR isn’t really doing anything this weekend because everyone is at XC/Marathon Champs.
Law and Legislation had a bunch of meetings in the fall so most of the proposals were already dealt with but there were still several hours of discussion.
The para athletes were persuaded to accept having all of their legislation tabled, so they’ll just stay out of the governance manual for another year and who knows what is happening to the money the USOPC is giving USATF for para.
The Athletes Commission was unable to find any operating procedures newer than 1997 (I suspect if any newer versions existed they would have been on Bill Roe’s computer) so they have been spending time on that project.
I don’t really know what is happening with high performance, but Sandra was elected as chair last year, removed or suspended from that position a few months later, Sue Humphrey became the interim chair, and now at the very very last minute USATF is accepting nominations for this position and apparently the Board will approve whoever gets selected.
