I’m looking to run a fast indoor 3k this weekend, after xc season, before taking a break.
Training has consisted of weekly 40 min tempos @ marathonish and weekly threshold workouts. 5k races every other week or so. Just 2-3 vo2 track sessions (800s at 3k, 1ks at 5k) sprinkled in.
So I guess kind of base training.
What can I do this last week to prepare myself best for a fast 3k? I have a better base than ever, but I really don’t know if my legs have the speed and condition for a pr.
Fyi I would plan to do my tempo on Monday, threshold on Wednesday (always do 200s after), race on Saturday. Any suggestions?? Want to see my massive base in action and not held back by lack of track workouts.
