Why would someone go to CN on thanksgiving to run a trot, like someone who won't win? Seems like trots are local, then you get back to thanksgiving. What does trackjennny have to gain from flying to a turkey trot on a holiday?
Women: Weini will probably win for the 5th time, but expect Taylor to be up there fighting her for it. This is overdistance for Dorcus and Gracie but they might be in the mix too, especially if it goes slow and comes down to a kick. Men: Andrew and Amon will be battling it out for the win, but don't count out Sam Gilman either.

The top three men all broke Conner Mantz's course record (21:04). I think Kurgat won it in 20:52 (give or take a second or two). Surprised to see David Mullarkey in second. Beadlescomb in third.
Shame on anyone racing this but skipping US XC Championships.
Maybe if the NATIONAL championships offered anywhere near as much prize money as a local road race with a much smaller elite field, the people trying to make a living off running would run it.

Qualifying you to represent your country in a global championship doesn't always qualify you to pay your rent. If this is supposed to be a professional sport atheltes shouldn't have to face this sort of choice.
